The rosters are set for this week's in-store tastings, so please mark your calendars for an evening (or two) of fascinating and fun exploration with fellow wine and spirit lovers and our K&L staff. In addition, we regularly host or participate in other special tastings and dinners. Please read below for more details on our upcoming events.
In-Store Tastings
Wine Club Member Tasting & Pickup Thursday, February 6th  K&L Wine Club Members—join us on the first Thursday of each month to taste a selection from all six of our wine clubs and pick up your current club shipment. This event is no cost for wine club members, plus one additional guest! $5 for non-member walk-ins.

Sip South Africa: Wines of the Western Cape Friday, February 7th  South Africa’s wine scene is dynamic, driven by a mix of historic estates and cutting-edge producers pushing boundaries. The country’s wine industry began in 1659 when Dutch settlers planted vineyards near Cape Town. The industry flourished in the 18th and 19th centuries but suffered setbacks during British rule and international boycotts during apartheid. Since the end of apartheid in 1994, South Africa’s wine industry has rebounded, gaining global recognition for high-quality wines and putting the spotlight on ancient and unique terroirs, biodiversity, and widely utilized sustainable practices. Each glass tells the story of the Western Cape’s diverse landscapes and innovative winemaking spirit.

Misunderstood Meunier: A Champagne Tasting Saturday, Feb 8th  Discover the often-overlooked brilliance of the Meunier grape, at this exceptional tasting. Indigenous to Champagne and perfectly suited to its terroir, Meunier adds elegance, depth, and surprising complexity to sparkling wines, whether in 100% varietal expressions or as part of an artful blend. You’ll explore standout bottles like Dérot-Delugny’s “Milieu Naturel”, a rich, tarte tatin–tinged blanc de noirs, Alexandre Le Brun’s “Cuvée Revelation” from a single-vineyard plot of 50-year-old vines, and Laherte Frères’ Rosé de Meunier with haunting notes of blood orange and delicate pastry crust toast. Plus, we’ll feature renowned houses like Billecart-Salmon and Krug to showcase how Meunier adds its magic to iconic blends. Don’t miss this opportunity to raise a glass to Champagne’s most underappreciated grape!
