A beautifully complex Italian white blend that is sure to please, this is one of our favorite white wine offers in recent memory!
Antica Fattoria La Parrina is located right in the rolling hills of Maremma, Tuscany and they are making some of our favorite Italian wines at the moment! La Parrina is one of the very few wineries to have their own DOC, or Denominazione di Origine Controllata (literally "Controlled Designation of Origin"). You may have heard of another winery that has that unique designation, Sassicaia!
The Vialetto is a fascinating blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Trebbiano and Vermentino that ends up being way more than just the sum of its parts. This is the perfect bottle for anyone looking to upgrade from their typical "pop & pour" Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc. Medium-bodied but wildly refreshing, this is the ultimate white to enjoy with appetizers or all by itself as an aperitif.
We have been impressed with every wine we have tried from Antica Fattoria La Parrina but the Vialetto may be our favorite! And with massive scores from two of the most famous critics of Italian wine, this is one to grab by the boatload!
"Notes of glazed apples and candied lemons with honeysuckle and beeswax undertones. Medium- to full-bodied, tangy and characterful with a mineral, chalky mouthfeel and crunchy fruit. Lightly phenolic in the finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold." - 92 Points James Suckling
"The 2022 Bianco Vialetto is a very pretty, floral white to drink now and over the next year or two, while the flavors remain vibrant. Enjoy it as an aperitif or with lighter fare. I like the energy here." - 90 Points Antonio Galloni, Vinous
