The 2019 Poggiarellino Brunello di Montalcino is a classic, handcrafted version of Tuscany's signature Sangiovese Grosso grape. Poggiarellino is a small winery run by a small family. They are located in the north of Montalcino, emphasizing the tradition, this Brunello offers a blend of elegance, depth and authenticity. The wine opens with a lively red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry. I feel a touch of dry rose petals, awesome spicy herbs and the classic touch of leather. Medium to full body. With refined tannins and bright acidity that highlight the purity of the fruit; red berry, spice and earthy tones lead to a long, balanced aroma.
