Trump speaks on tariffs, deportation, NATO

President-elect Donald Trump doubled down Sunday on hard-line campaign pledges to impose trade tariffs and carry out mass deportations, while dangling the idea that the United States could withdraw from NATO. In his first formal television interview since the election -- and just six weeks before he takes office -- Trump again signaled that US support for Ukraine will scale back, saying he will "probably" cut the aid helping Kyiv repel the Russian invasion. Trump also said he would "very quickly" look at pardons for supporters jailed for storming the US Capitol after his 2020 election defeat to Joe Biden.

Investigators believe the suspect fled New York by bus shortly after fatally shooting Thompson outside the New York Hilton Midtown. Surveillance footage shows the suspect leaving Central Park and heading to the interstate bus station.

NASA delays plan to send humans to Moon

NASA announced updates to its Artemis Moon missions, which will delay the Artemis II crewed flight to April 2026 and Artemis III to 2027. The delays allow time to address issues with Orion spacecraft systems, including its heat shield, which experienced unexpected material loss during Artemis I's re-entry, NASA said in an official statement that engineers identified the cause as insufficient gas escaping in the heat shield material, leading to major modifications for Artemis II and III.
