Biden, Trump play nice in White House chat

Political rivals President-elect Donald Trump and President Joe Biden met at the White House on Wednesday in order to discuss the peaceful transition of power between the two administrations. The President-elect, who emerged victorious over Vice President Kamala Harris on Election Day, met with the incumbent President on Wednesday and thanked him for his cooperation. The visit is a traditional ritual to symbolize the peaceful transition of power but Trump refused to take part four years ago after he made baseless claims of a stolen election.

Trump taps Gaetz as attorney general pick

President-elect Donald Trump announced Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, who is under investigation for allegedly having sex with a minor, as his nominee for attorney general. The House Ethics Committee is looking into whether Gaetz "engaged in sexual misconduct and illicit drug use, accepted improper gifts, dispensed special privileges and favors to individuals with whom he had a personal relationship, and sought to obstruct government investigations of his conduct," which Gaetz denies

Kraft Heinz pulls Lunchables from schools

Kraft Heinz has pulled its once popular Lunchables meal from schools months after a report by Consumer Trends found they contained high levels of sodium and lead, the company announced Wednesday. In April, Consumer Trends released a report that found the Lunchable kits had "relatively high levels of lead, cadmium and sodium," Brian Ronholm, director of food policy at Consumer Reports told USA Today.
