Judge dismisses Trump classified docs case

A Florida judge appointed by Donald Trump dismissed the case against the former president on charges of mishandling top secret documents, saying that Special Counsel Jack Smith was improperly appointed. The decision is a big win for Trump, who had been accused of endangering national security by holding onto top secret documents. Judge Aileen Cannon made her ruling after Trump's lawyers argued for a partial stay of proceedings to allow for an assessment of a Supreme Court ruling that a former president has broad immunity from prosecution.

Haley on RNC stage today after initial snub

Nikki Haley, the former primary rival of Donald Trump, is set to speak at the Republican National Convention tonight after initially being left off the list of speakers. Chaney Denton, the spokesperson for Haley, said she was initially not among the list of RNC speakers but was added to the schedule. According to Denton, Haley was initially not even invited to attend the convention, but she issued a call for the party to unite and instructed her delegates to vote for Trump as the GOP nominee.

Secret Service faces probe over close call

Facing growing criticism over a massive security failure, the US Secret Service on Monday vowed to cooperate with an independent review after a shooter was allowed to open fire on Donald Trump. The Secret Service faces intense scrutiny over how a gunman aiming an assault rifle was allowed to take position on a roof some 500 feet from Trump, and the questions grew louder when phone footage emerged of people sighting the gunman and trying to warn security before he opened fire.

Monday's answer: England's last major soccer championship came in the 1966 World Cup. England has never won a UEFA Euro Cup title.
