Ukraine urges response to Russian attacks

Russia on Sunday said its forces had advanced in eastern Ukraine as Kyiv reported deadly air attacks and urged the West to allow it to carry out more retaliatory strikes inside Russia. Attack drones flying towards Ukraine also breached the airspace of NATO members Romania and Latvia, triggering calls for a robust response from the military alliance. Moscow has stepped up its aerial attacks in recent weeks, but it is also trying to fight off a major Ukrainian offensive into its western Kursk region, which has reshaped the course of the two-and-a-half-year war.

Cuban, who last week endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris against Trump in this year's presidential election, said "I hate the idea. If the government had a surplus. Maybe. But with a deficit, it makes no sense at all." The federal deficit for fiscal 2024 is projected at $1.9 trillion, and the national debt at $28.2 trillion.

Prince Harry stands to reap $10M windfall

Being a British royal isn't all bad, as Prince Harry sometimes seems to indicate. He's reportedly about to breeze into a new $10 million fortune, thanks to his late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. Harry stands to inherit the money on his 40th birthday, September 15, from a trust that was established by the Queen Mother in 1994, back when he was just 10 years old, according to a London Times report. As an added bonus, he trust fund arrangement guarantees that the income will be tax free.
