Lawsuit challenges Musk's $1M giveaways

Philadelphia's chief prosecutor sued billionaire Elon Musk and his pro-Donald Trump political action committee on Monday to halt his $1 million giveaways to registered US voters in swing states. Musk stirred controversy after he announced the daily contest this month, prompting the Justice Department to warn that it may violate federal law which prohibits paying people to register to vote, according to reports. The lawsuit against the SpaceX and Tesla CEO's America PAC was filed in a Pennsylvania state court by Democrat district attorney Larry Krasner.

Police search for car linked to drop box fires

Police have identified a vehicle in connection with two election drop box fires, one of which destroyed hundreds of mail-in ballots in Washington. On Monday, police discovered incendiary devices in a ballot drop box in Portland, Oregon, that destroyed three mail-in ballots. They found another in Vancouver, Washington, that destroyed hundreds of ballots. Portland Police said surveillance images captured a Volvo at both locations, indicating the fires were started by the same person.

$400K cheese theft: That's a lot of cheddar

Nearly 1,000 wheels of high-end, award-winning cheddar cheese were stolen from a London dairy over the weekend by after a thief posing as a wholesaler swindled Neal's Yard Dairy out of 48,488 pounds of cheddar valued at roughly 300,000 British pounds (US $390,000). Over 950 wheels of Hafod, Westcombe and Pitchfork Cheddar were delivered before the fraud was discovered, according to the dairy. The theft was carried out by a swindler posing as a wholesale distributor.
