House Speaker Mike Johnson said Sunday he was pushing an "aggressive" timeframe for getting a multi-trillion-dollar bill addressing immigration, tax cuts and more to Donald Trump's desk by April, within his first 100 days in office. Johnson and fellow congressional Republicans are eager to help the incoming president enact his campaign promises, including unprecedented border security spending, business deregulation, boosting energy production and raising the debt ceiling. But with a new razor-thin majority in the House of Representatives and similarly tight Senate margins, Democratic opposition could stymie the efforts.

United Airlines to begin offering passengers Musk's Starlink
United Airlines will begin offering Elon Musk's Starlink Wi-Fi services on its flights as early as this spring, highlighting the growing reach of the tech billionaire's ventures. United Airlines is set to begin testing Starlink in February, with the first commercial flight featuring the service scheduled to take place this spring on one of the airline's Embraer E-175 aircraft. The airline plans to have Starlink installed on its entire two-cabin regional fleet by the end of 2025. Additionally, United aims to have its first mainline aircraft equipped with Starlink in operation by the end of this year.

US Steel, Nippon Steel hit Biden over opposition to takeover
Nippon Steel and US Steel hit back at President Joe Biden for blocking a $14.9 billion deal between the two companies, claiming the "unlawful decision" was based on political motives and noting they will "take all appropriate action" to protect their legal rights. Biden announced he was rejecting Nippon's takeover of US Steel to ensure that it remained "American-owned, American-operated." President-elect Donald Trump also opposed the purchase.
