Trump's pick of Patel for FBI chief rattles DC

President-elect Donald Trump said he would nominate Kashyap "Kash" Patel, a 44-year-old loyalist with minimal experience in federal law enforcement, to serve as the next FBI director. Even among Trump's loyalists, Patel is a controversial figure that presents a major challenge as it would require removing the current FBI director, Christopher Wray, who was also appointed by Trump, before Wray's term expires. This move could spark further debate, given Patel's lack of experience in federal law enforcement management and his polarizing reputation.

Addressing that conflict, Sullivan lauded the ceasefire that's in place and said the US was working with Lebanon's military to ensure it was implemented "effectively."
