Hamas nixes truce talks after Israeli strike

A Hamas official on Sunday said the group is pulling out of Gaza truce talks, following an Israeli strike that targeted the militants' commander Mohammed Deif, who was "fine" despite the attack. Israel staged a huge bombing raid on a camp for displaced people in southern Gaza on Saturday that it said was an attempt to kill Deif. Another senior official from the Iran-backed Islamist group, which has been fighting a nine-month-long war with Israel in the Gaza Strip, said Hamas was withdrawing from ceasefire talks because of Israeli "massacres."

Catherine, Princess of Wales, attended the Wimbledon Men's final in London on Sunday as she continues her cancer recovery, receiving cheers as she walked onto court to present the trophy to winner Carlos Alcaraz. Late goal lifts Spain past England in Euros

Mikel Oyarzabal scored a dramatic late winner as Spain triumphed in Sunday's Euro 2024 final, beating England 2-1 to end their opponents' dreams of winning a first title in almost six decades. England came from behind as they have done so often at this Euros, as substitute Cole Palmer drove in the equalizer on 73 minutes. But their resurgence in the game was cut short as Oyarzabal turned in a cross in the 86th minute to hand Spain a record fourth European Championship crown.
