OUR 5 FAVORITE PIECES FROM DRIES VAN NOTEN'S FINAL COLLECTION (SO FAR)
Goodbye Dries. After 38 years at the helm of his eponymous brand, SS25 was Dries Van Noten’s final collection. To honor the designer's legacy, from being part of the Antwerp Six to creating an impressive 150 collections for the brand, we’ve chosen some of our favorite new pieces that demonstrate the essence of his creativity.
The lace-up design is one of many that have been featured in both men’s and women’s collections and is a great example of how the brand blurs gender norms. Whether tied in a bow or left alone to reveal a bit more below the neckline, the tight-knit style complements the design.
And, of course, when mentioning Van Noten, you have to include his mastery of patterns and prints. Designs like the Piperi Shorts weave his love of nature and botany into everyday garments.
A recurring silhouette from its seasonal collections, now remade from a translucent organza fabric, this new iteration of the Croom Shirt welcomes layering.
Knitwear has always played a major role for Dries and is often included in the brand’s collections. Here, the pointelle knit style challenges the viewer’s perspective as the monochrome top features a subtle striped design that plays with negative space.
