The people who actually grow the food we eat play an essential part in getting food to those who need it. That's especially true right now with the fall harvest season right around the corner.
Feeding America works with a lot of different people to make sure our neighbors have enough to eat—volunteers, food bank staff, supporters like you—and farmers across the country.

Native communities have rich food traditions, but hunger rates in these communities are really high. At least 20% of Native individuals experience hunger—though some estimates put that number at 80%. Hundreds of years of U.S. government policy has broken Native communities' food systems.
Tell Congress: Respect Native sovereignty by allowing tribal governments to directly manage food assistance programs, like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and remove unnecessary restrictions on food assistance in the next farm bill.
