As Thanksgiving draws near, I find myself thinking about the many homes with empty plates across our communities. Rising costs for food, housing, and health care mean that more of our friends and neighbors are facing hunger than at any point in the last decade.

For a family in your community, you can help make the difference between a memorable Thanksgiving dinner and an empty table. Right now during our Thanksgiving Drive, you can double your impact, up to $250,000, and help even more families through the Feeding America network of food banks. Make your gift now.

Deadline Thanksgiving Day. Double your impact.
Ilka in Topeka, KS.

People know Ilka as "the grandma of the world" because she loves everybody as though they were her own grandchildren. "I have carried on the tradition of loving people through food," she says.

But on Thanksgiving, "I wasn't always able to provide a turkey, have all of the fixings and the trimmings." At Topeka's Open Arms Outreach Ministries pantry, a Feeding America network partner, Ilka and her family got a turkey and all the ingredients for a Thanksgiving family meal.

With so many of our neighbors like Ilka facing hunger right now, it would mean so much for you to join us with a special Thanksgiving gift of $25 or more today, while your impact can be doubled, helping to provide at least 500 meals.

Thank you,

P.S. This holiday season, you can make a donation in honor of a loved one—you can even send them an e-card to let them know you're thinking of them.
