The world has been talking a lot about tariffs, and as a company that sources the best quality ingredients worldwide, there is a possibility that we will be affected.
We’ve faced adversity before and will face it again. At Beardbrand, we have a saying, “Obstacles are opportunities.” We will look for ways to level up and improve during these challenging times.
From your perspective, not much changes. We will continue to make the highest quality grooming products with amazing fragrances that we can.
For us, our next steps are as follows:
1. Wait and see. There’s no point getting worked up for things that might not impact us significantly.
2. Validate our partners. We want to make sure we’re getting the best materials at the best prices assuming they meet our delivery needs.
3. Avoid reformulation. You buy from us because of our commitment to excellence. We will only reformulate when we believe we can improve the product or we can no longer source materials.
4. Raise prices. At the end of the day, we’d rather keep the quality high and raise prices than lower the quality of what we’re producing to hit a target price. But this is the last thing we want to do, and we will only do so if it is necessary. To be clear, we are not raising prices at this time and will only do so if there are significant changes to our costs.
Nothing is ever easy and nothing is permanent. These volatile moments will pass, and I still believe the future will be very bright.
