Bec Hardy makes a wide variety of wines but the most impressive line-up is their Garden Series of wines and the Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon is the crown jewel of the line-up!
Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in nearly every major wine-producing country in both the old and new worlds, producing some of the most expensive, complex, and long-lived wines on the planet. It's always been a favorite of ours and offers a remarkable variety of styles across Australia's many premium wine regions. South Australia is considered one of the great wine capitals of the world, producing 50% of all bottled wine and 80% of all premium wines coming out of Australia.
The Barossa is one of South Australia’s pre-eminent appellations producing outstanding examples of Cabernet Sauvignon. It is one of a range of regional Cabernet Sauvignons from the great regions of South Australia.
"This is gorgeously composed and styled, showing cassis, cigar box, smoked game, clove and floral aromas, followed by a concentrated palate delivering plush texture and loads of fine tannins. Structured and sturdy yet graceful and harmonious with a persistent delectable finish. At its best: now to 2038." - 95 Points Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"Part of a fascinating array of Cabernets from various regions from the Bec Hardy stable. This example, from the Barossa, is absolutely delicious. It provides more grist to the mill of those convinced that Cabernet in the right vintage in the Barossa can thrill. A crowd pleaser and a cracking wine. Love it. Dark maroon hue, the wine is bursting with flavour. Chocolate, beefstock, roast meats, black fruits and bay leaves. The gorgeously structured palate offers a sweet core of dark chocolate. There are soft and satiny tannins. There is a lusciousness to this wine making it generous and approachable plus excellent length. This should offer pleasure for the next six to ten years. And compelling evidence that you do not have to break the bank to drink very well." - 94 Points Wine Pilot
