background:
Moillard, historically based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the Côte de Nuits, offers Domaine wines and a traditional signature of Burgundy wines. The old documents of Nuits-Saint-Georges attest that the Moillard family already owned vineyards before the French Revolution. But the Winery saw a real boom in 1850, when Symphorien Moillard bought his first wines to satisfy an order too important for his own Domain, thus initiating his activity of wine trading. Since then, Moillard has carried out the meticulous job of wine making and aging to bring all their wines to their full potential.

Today, Maison Moillard has become a veritable institution in Nuits-Saint-Georges. It owns a 11.5 hectare domain in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Savigny-les-Beaune, Côte de Nuits Village and Hautes-Côtes de Nuits. The oenologists of Maison Moillard select the finest grapes from the best plots to give expression to the terroirs and Climats of Burgundy in all their diversity. Thanks to the ties formed over the years between Maison Moillard and the vineyard, they express the know-how passed down over several generations in the production and ageing of Burgundy’s wines and crémants.

winemaker's notes
"The grapes are pressed immediately upon arrival at the winery in pneumatic presses. Settling, cold storing for 48h. A part of the wine continue its fermentation in thermo regulated stainless steel vats and the other part in barrels at low temperature, 16/20° to preserve aromas. Ageing continues on total lies between 8 to 16 months with regular stirring to gain depth and complexity. The two wines are then assembled."
