In 1986, our design team set out to create a better baseball cap: one that would wick sweat, dry fast, float when dunked and easily crush up into a pocket.
Duckbill hats have been on our heads ever since, for long runs, ski tours, fishing and river trips. They’ve mopped up sweat, held backcountry blueberries and doubled as spaghetti strainers and aid station ice bags.
On March 16, 2022, the Daleys started walking the Pacific Crest Trail with their three children under age 5. After a week, they weren’t sure if it was a good idea. Then something magical happened.
