Hi there,
My wife Karoline used to work in consulting, and early one Monday while standing at the terminal gate, her colleague looked at her tote bag and no roll-aboard, and said “Uh - did you check a bag?” - which approximates to a cardinal sin among fellow frequent flyers.
She chuckled and said, “Nope - everything I need is here.”

Over the years we’ve made a little competition to see who can pack the lightest (and most of the time she wins), but traveling with a light packer is a win for everyone - helping you move fast and fluidly through connecting flights to reach your destination.
Karo recently spent nearly a week on the road - a mixture of business and leisure:
- Length: 5 days
- Cities: Oslo, London, Amsterdam, Berlin
- Activities: Team Presentation, Family Celebration, City Exploration

Gear:

Shorter trips can sometimes be even harder to pack for than long ones - Here’s her general packing strategy:
- Don’t be afraid to repeat outfits, especially if you’re meeting different people on different days - the only person who’ll know is you!
- Color coordinated pieces help you mix & match on the go, so you can do more with less.
- Wrinkle resistant clothing lets your outfits look sharp right out of the bag - no time wasted ironing.
- A good heated jacket helps immensely with unpredictable temperature and weather conditions on the road.
- Packing light is easiest if you’re able to travel in your bulkier items.
Recently, our 3-year-old has been able to join us on our trips (he packs in a Stokke Jetkids). With another kid on the way, we’re thrilled to pass down our love of light travel to the next generation.
Safe Travels,
