Fastest Known Time

The White Rim Trail in Moab, Utah, might be the most hotly contested FKT in the US. It's a nearly 100-mile loop in Canyonlands National Park, and the record is a scorching 5 hours, 28 minutes, and 17 seconds. The terrain is martian-like, with sand hub-deep in long stretches—the perfect challenge for MAAP Privateer Russell "Finsty" Finsterwald to sink his teeth into. We caught up with Finsty for a post-record attempt debrief.
