In the past few months, I’ve been spending more time working on my stress responses. I’m looking for tools that can help me train my body to react differently to everyday stressors and, I hope, ultimately restructure a few of the ways I feel in my body.
I had a fascinating session with neuropsychologist Jennifer Jones, PhD, and her team at Aspen Neuro to understand how my stress response is reflected in my brainwave patterns. In our next session, I’ll be working on neurofeedback exercises to try to shift some of those patterns.
I’ve also been using the BrainTap headset and mobile app a lot. (The program is expensive but amazing.) It essentially uses light, sound, and vibration—with guided audio programs and visualization processes—to attempt to address neuroplasticity.
And I’m curious to read a book that came out at the beginning of the year called Heal Your Nervous System by Linnea Passaler. I’ll share any helpful insights I learn in the process.
Love,
Gwyneth
