After contracting COVID in March of 2020 (always the early adopter!), I struggled with the symptoms of long COVID on and off for quite some time. The silver lining was that feeling mysteriously unwell led me to uncover some of the chronic underlying health issues that had been lurking under the surface (not to mention the black mold under my bathtub). I focused in part on lowering inflammation through food and other modalities with my doctors, which had a meaningful impact for me.
I was also quick to read today’s newsletter articleon the topic of long COVID. In it, our senior science editor interviewed long COVID researcher David Putrino, PhD, who is currently the director of rehabilitation innovation for the Mount Sinai Health System and a professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. His learnings are fascinating, critical, and timely.
Love, Gwyneth
