After a scoreless first half, Reggie Cannon scored in the 52nd minute, marking his first goal for the Rapids. In stoppage time, Djordje Mihailovic converted a penalty, setting a new club record for single-season contributions by a player. This win also set a new Rapids record for the most regular-season victories by a first-year coach.
