On Saturday night, the Colorado Rapids faced Club América at Dignity Health Sports Park in the Leagues Cup 2024 Quarterfinals. A solid defensive performance led by captain Keegan Rosenberry and crucial saves by Zack Steffen meant a 0-0 draw at the end of regulation sending the Rapids into a sudden death penalty shootout. Ultimately, the 46-seeded Rapids triumphed 9-8 after a crucial save by Steffen, securing their spot in the Semifinals and sending the first-seeded Club América home.
